Still Waters

A quiet place for your heart.

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 28 October 2026

Still Waters is a Bible reflection and journaling app. We respect the privacy of your thoughts, prayers and journal entries. This policy describes our current intended handling of information. It should be checked against the final app and service settings before publication.

Information we process

Depending on what you use, we process an email address and authentication identifiers; journal entries, thoughts, questions, prayers and AI-generated responses; selected Bible-reading preferences and progress; app usage and diagnostic information; and subscription identifiers/status. You may also create shareable artwork or audio.

Why we process information

We use information to provide accounts, keep journals accessible, retrieve Scripture, generate requested AI reflections and other content, enforce usage limits, provide support, maintain security and manage subscriptions.

Service providers

We use Supabase for authentication, database, storage and server functions; OpenAI for AI content generation; RevenueCat for subscription entitlements; and Cloudflare for some web and security functions. Google Play may process purchases and app distribution. Content you submit for AI features may be sent to OpenAI for processing. These providers process data under their own applicable terms and policies.

Private journal content

Your journal entries are associated with your account and are not intended to be visible to other users. Access controls help restrict access, but the service does not currently claim end-to-end encryption. Do not enter information you are uncomfortable sharing with a cloud-based service.

Retention and deletion

We retain account data and saved content while necessary to provide the service or meet legal obligations. You can request account deletion in the app or using our account deletion page. We will verify account ownership before processing a request. Some minimal records may be kept when required by law, security or legitimate compliance needs. If you have a subscription, cancelling its billing through Google Play is separate from account deletion.

Security and choices

We use authentication and database access restrictions to protect information, but no service is risk-free. You can choose what to enter, export your journal when signed in, and request deletion.

Children

Still Waters is not specifically designed or marketed to children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal data requiring removal, please contact us.

Changes and contact

This policy may be updated when the app or its providers change. For privacy questions, contact l-brits@hotmail.com.
